The faith community plays a significant role in the lives of those experiencing domestic violence. Scriptures can assist or hinder people from leaving a toxic relationship. I am
thankful that my pastor eventually noticed I was in emotional pain and said he was concerned for my safety. That was the day of my awakening. It is my calling to help spread the word that violence is not acceptable in any household, including the faith community. |
